Hi all

I have a number of excel action lists for different projects. Each line of the list has a different action and is assigned to a different person (by initial) and is detailed as "Open" or "Closed" and conditional formatting gives it a green, amber or red fill colour depending on if closed, open and not yet due or open and late.

I would like to have a sheet in a separate summary worksheet where I can pick a person by there initial and generate by hitting a macro button either their open and not yet due actions, their open and late actions and all of their open actions.

Can anybody give me a pointer on doing this, I suspect it'd need to be VB?

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Actually, I think you can get this done with a pivot table. If you generate a pivot table based on your data and put the initials, status and actions in the row labels section (in that order), excel will order it for you.
