What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
You can do this

Formatting the cell to "dddd"
Book1
ABCD
11september2023Friday
Sheet1
Cell Formulas
RangeFormula
D1D1=DATEVALUE(TEXTJOIN(" ",,A1:C1))

Or this:
Book1
ABCD
11september2023Friday
Sheet1
Cell Formulas
RangeFormula
D1D1=TEXT(DATEVALUE(TEXTJOIN(" ",,A1:C1)),"dddd")

or this way
Excel Formula:
=TEXT(DATEVALUE(A1&B1&C1),"dddd")

Kudos to Felix.. I hadn't figured out the "dddd" bit on the end ! :)
