I recently purchased a large number of chemical compounds arrayed in twenty four 96-well microplates (12 columns (named 1-12) x 8 rows (A-H) per plate). The compounds came with a large list with columns referring to the plate number, row, column and compound name.
I would like to be able to convert the list into twenty four 96-well tables with the corresponding compound located in the correct cell/well. There are approximately 60 compounds per plate with the other wells remaining empty.
Is there a function in Excel to convert an ordered list like this into a table, using the available co-ordinates?
