Hi,
I need some help from experts.

We received several sets of data as some sort of Notepad format. I am unfamiliar with this sort of data. How can you convert this into the excel format? I'm not even sure what to call it. The data is sloping from upper left to lower right.

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Hi Lynn,

From within Excel you could try;

Data - Import External Data - Import Data

Then Navigate to the file in question and see how Excel pulls it through, its difficult without actually seeing the file, is it delimited in anyway ie. With Semi-Colon's or Tabs, etc.?

I feel so ignorant. Yes, I tried to import into Access and have the same Text Import Wizard. The file is an ASCII formatted file, so whihc items do I select in the Wizard?
