How can you convert a simple Excel spreadsheet listing people, addresses and telephone numbers originally types in ALL CAPS? It would be more useful and attractive to have it follow standard name format Firstname Lastname. Thanks

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

Try using the worksheet function 'proper'

=proper("MY NAME") gives My Name as a result

Or with a marco try
Sub Proper_Case()
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
Application.EnableEvents = False
Dim cl As Range
'for whole sheet use this, will be slow if a lot is on the sheet
For Each cl In ActiveSheet.[A1].SpecialCells(xlCellTypeConstants, 2)

'for a range use something like one below
'For Each cl In ActiveSheet.[A1:B50,D1:D50,F4].SpecialCells(xlCellTypeConstants, 2)
'For Each cl In ActiveSheet.[A4,B4,C4].SpecialCells(xlCellTypeConstants, 2)

cl = Application.Proper(cl)
Next cl
Application.EnableEvents = True
Application.ScreenUpdating = True
End Sub

Just to add to this old feed, I would not suggest using PROPER on postcodes, kinda dongt like it!
