Converting disk space

My employer has an application that creates reports that can be exported into Excel. However the disk space it reports is at the byte level.

I know this is a stupid question but how do I convert a very large number shown in bytes into Gigabytes, Terabytes or Petabytes?

Divide by the appropriate factor:-

• http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megabyte
• http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte
• http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terabyte

... etc.
