Converting text to a date

I have downloaded the following text from the internet and pasted it into excel as follows in A1, A2....
Thu 25 Mar
Fri 26 Mar

They are not in date format and I want to convert them into dates in excel format

Try this formula entered in B1:

=--MID(A1,FIND(" ",A1),7)

Format as Date.

Copy down as needed.
