Hello;

I have an old excel file (not a chart) that was saved in a .xlc format. Using Office 2010, I can't open this file type any more.

Does anyone know how I can convert it?

Thanks

According to this link, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Excel, an "xlc" format is a chart and here is what is has to say about it:
A chart created with data from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that only saves the chart. To save the chart and spreadsheet save as .XLS. XLC is not supported in Excel 2007 or in any newer versions of Excel.
So if it really is a chart, it is not supported in Excel 2007 or higher.

If it is really not a chart, then are you telling us that the file was mis-named and given a bad file extension. If that is really true, I think you should be able to change the file extension to ".xls" an open it up (if it really is an Excel file).
