copy and paste from horizontal row to vertical column?

Excel version 2000
Scenero: Cells A1 through E1 contain numeric values. Is it possible to copy cells A1 through E1 and paste the data vertically into a column so that A1 through E1 become say, G1 through G5?.

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
