Hi Guys,

Is there a macro that will copy all the excel files contained in certain folder with many different subfolders and moved them to another folder.

Let's just say that my source folder is C:\New Folder.. And this folder contain several subfolders (1,2,3,4,5...). I want to move all excel files from these subfolders to another folder. D:\My Folder.

Thanks,

LL

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Can you not copy and paste the folder to where you want it? Or are there other files apart from Excel files in the folder?

You can do this from within Windows

In XP/Vista go to the Windows button and hit search
select the folder that all the sub folders are in
search by file type .xls
then copy and paste

Windows 7 will have a similar method too
