Copy only access

I am using excel 2007.

How do I protect a cell so that a user can copy/paste the data inside, but cannot change or erase the equation? Suggestions?

I had hoped that when protecting a worksheet there would be a "copy only" access option. Unfortunately there is not. Help!

Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
In earlier versions of Excel (and I guess 2007 works the same), you can turn on WorkSHEET protection, and specify that you want to allow users to still be able to select locked cells.
If you do this, then even if the cell is locked and the worksheet is protected, you will still be able to select the cell, copy it, and paste either the formula or the value to somewhere else.

Thanks for that solution though it will not quite work b/c I need three types of cells.

1. Unlocked cells that users can input values into.
2. Locked cells that users cannot select just look at.
3. ONE cell that users can select and copy, BUT cannot change the formula within.

Basically, I am trying to make the worksheet dummy proof. Some users will not know what they are doing and will accidently delete the formula in the cell I only want them to copy. If the uers does delete the formula he or she will not know how to remake it.

Any suggestions on how to create these three types of cells all at the same time?

Let's take them in a slightly different order.

3 is easy. Make sure the cell is locked, and then turn on WorkSHEET protection, and specify that users can select locked cells.

1 is also easy, just make sure the cell is unlocked (and when you turn on worksheet protection, remember to specify that users can select UNlocked cells as well).

2 - ask yourself -do you REALLY need this ? would (3) not give you basically the same function ?
