Hi

Im try to copy an application (xla) from one machine to another. Same are XP SP2 / office 2003

one of the userforms is using the Spreadsheet control.

When I copied the xla and ran it on the new machine, I got prompted that MS Web component is missing.
I downloaded owc11.exe, installed it, regsvr32 the ocw11.dll - all work OK.

Still - the application does not work and shout object is missing....

The MS Web component is active. If I add manually a new spreadsheet control to the userform, save it, and rerun the xla - the spreadsheet control works fine.

I assumed there was a problem with Activex authorization. I added the UFIControls value 1 as described here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827742 - still no luck.

Any idea why the new machine "refuses" to work with the copied spreadsheet control as is / but agrees to work with a newly added one ?

Thanks for any help

p.s. - I had the same problem while copying the xla to another machine with office 2007. after lot of fights it finally worked

now I repeated the process in office 2003 and it does not...
