My company recently converted from Excel 2003 to 2007 and I'm having issues copying and pasting data from one 2007 workbook to another. Both of these workbooks started out as 2003 files, but I have since updated them to .xlsx extensions. The error I receive when clicking a single cell in a new workbook and attempting to paste the data is such:
"The information cannot be pasted because the copy area and the paste area are not the same size and shape. Try one of the following: Click a single cell, and then paste. Select a rectangle that's the same size and shape, and then paste."
This was never an issue in 2003! Also, I attempted to make the columns the same size (pixels) between workbooks and that still didn't work. Does anyone have a fix for this or any advice? Your help is greatly appreciated.
