Hi

How copy a formula from one workbook to another without the copied formula keeping the original's file name.

When I copy the formula , it keeps the original file name in the formula and I have to edit the formula and remove the file name to get it to work.

Remember I am copying from one workbook to another.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
One way is to go into your formula and highlight everything after the equal sign and copy (CTRL-C). Then go into your other workbook, go into the cell you want, type the equal sign and paste (CTRL-V).

If you have a lot of such formulas. Use ctrl+H to replace the workbooks name with blank. remember to go into options and look into formulas and not values
