I have a very long table in pdf that consists of 3 columns. The first column has a name of a compay (e.g. Microsoft, 3M, Protcter & Gable, Exxon Moblie etc). The names of the companies do not have clear delimiters (ie they sometimes contain numbers, spaces or non alaphabetical signs. The two other columns consits of numbers and percentages. In the pdf file these columns are separated with spaced between them.
How can I copy this into Excel without extensive manual editing? The normal text to column does not work as there are no clear delimites e.g. commans or spaces. I have tried copying into Word and then use convert to table but with no luck.
Since the table is very long (50 pages or so) it is impossible to do manually. Further I face this problem quite often so I would very much like to have a solution that works.. Is there some way of doing this or using a VBA code?
Any comments most appreciated!
