I am using a spreadsheet using the formula =date(). The problem is the date is not advancing automatically. It has just started doing this and I have been using the sheet for 2 years on the same computer without a problem. The date on the computer is correct. Where is the date being pulled from and how can I get it to display the correct date?

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.

do you mean:

=today()

??? the date() function requiresd further arguments, viz. date(year,month,day).

anyway - check tools | options | calculation - should be set to automatic.
