Is there a formula that will count the numbers in one cell depending on the words in another cell?

I have a list in column D of craft titles and then in column L I have the hours they are available.

Column D Column L
1 Electrical 28
2 Mechanical 36
3 Electrical 32
4 Joiner 32
5 Mechanical 36

I just want to extract the data for Electrical so just want L1 and L3 to add to 60 in another cell. Or the data for Mechanical to add to 72 in another cell.

Thank you
