# Count Formula

#### Welsh Mark

##### Board Regular
I have a file with columns ranging A-G
Column C contains sales person name (approx. 50 different names), Column G is Sales value (\$).

What formula would I use to count the total value of sales person for a particular person.

### Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.

Try...

Either...

=SUMIFS(G:G,C:C,"welsh")

Or...

=SUMIFS(G:G,C:C,\$J2)

where J2 houses a name like welsh.
