I have a file with columns ranging A-G
Column C contains sales person name (approx. 50 different names), Column G is Sales value ($).

What formula would I use to count the total value of sales person for a particular person.

Try...

Either...

=SUMIFS(G:G,C:C,"welsh")

Or...

=SUMIFS(G:G,C:C,$J2)

where J2 houses a name like welsh.
