I'm looking for the total number of times that, in the same row, Column A = 1 AND column B = >0.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.

SUMPRODUCT has the advantage that it will work in all versions but if you have Excel 2007+, COUNTIFS is a bit more efficient.

=COUNTIFS(A1:A100,1,B1:B100,">0")

=SUM((A1:A6=1)*(B1:B6>0))

This is a sum array so you need to enter it by hitting ctr-****-enter after pasting it into the formula bar. It will then put these things around it {}
