Count non-blank cells using autofilter

I have a sheet and need to be able to count how many visible cells in column A are not blank. I'm using the autofilter function on numerous columns, but column A has data in every row. Therefore I can always use column A as a counter for any other column's filter.

I think this same question has been posted many times before, but I could not find it on a search.

and adjust range to suit.
