Count nonblank cells if another row meets criteria

Is there a formula to count the number of nonblank cells if another row meets certian criteria. eg. I want to count the nonblank cells in column B if column A = bank

Control+shift+enter, not just enter:

Either...

=SUM(IF($A$16:$A$60="A",IF(ISNUMBER($K$16:$K$60),1)))

Or...

=SUM(IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("A",$A$16:$A$60)),IF(ISNUMBER($K$16:$K$60),1)))

Which one is it if any?

Neither of those formulas returned anything. just zero. and i tried =COUNTIFS(A:A,"G",K16:M60,"<>") and did the CSE still didn't work

Thanks for trying to help. but i just applied an IF formula and did CSE. And it worked.

Well I thought it worked... but it didn't.. i counted all the non blanks within K16:M60 weather there was a "G" in A:A or not. ..
