Count of Multiple Cells from a Drop Down

Hi guys,

Just a wee question this time

For Saying Sake I have H8 - H45, all with a drop down menu. This can be left blank without touching it, or they can select yes or no.

I am looking to do a count of this to display in another cell how many say yes, and how many say no

=COUNT(H8:H45)

I tried to use the above, and only setting some of them to Yes, and leaving the rest blank, but it doesn't pick them up.

Any Idea's?

=COUNTIF(H8:H45,"yes")

Works a Treat. I tried a few variations on this, and just couldn't get it to work. Good old Help Forums!!
