Hi can anyone help me with this problem. In Column A - I have a series of multi choice answers, yes, no, maybe, etc etc. And i also have blanks where no responses have been given.

I'm trying to come up with a formula that adds up both the "no" responses and the blanks, is this possible?

i've tried =COUNTIF(C2:C1082,"No")+COUNTA(C2:C1082) but that doesn't seem to give the correct number.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
How about
=SUM( COUNTIF(C2:C1082,{"No",""}))
