Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Try the COUNTA function: =COUNTA(A:A)

However, if column A is full of formulas that could return a blank, this formula will not work. Instead, you may want to use =COUNTIF(A:A,"<>")
