I tried to look for this but couldnt find anything.

Is it possible to use a named range as criteria with an operator? For example:

=countif(A3,>namedRange)

Using 2003, couldnt get this to work, kept putting it all in quotations. My named range is a number and one cell and my cell value is a number.

Thanks.

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.

Try...

=COUNTIF(A3,">"&namedRange)

However, if A3 is not a mistake (it's a cell, not a range), the follwing would suffice:

=A3>namedRange

=(A3>namedRange)+0
