Countif formula required

Hi,
I require a formula to;
Reference a worksheet called 'worksheet' and count all cells in range E225 to E2500 that contain the number '5'

I can do the above, however,
I only want to count the number '5' where the adjacent cell in column 'D' has a date in it that matches the date in 'D23'
