I know that I can do a =countif(A1:A50,">100"), and that will count all values in that array greater than 100, but I need it to point to a cell that has a value formula =AVERAGE(A1:A50) and I keep getting 0 as the count.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
How about
Excel Formula:
=countif(A1:A50,">"&B2)
where B2 is the cell with the number
