Countif & len

Hi,

Can anybody help me with a formula.

I'm trying to search a column for the number of cells with 9 characters.

The following doesn't seem to work in Excel 2003

=countif(len(09:065536),9)

Any ideas?

Try this

=SUMPRODUCT(--(LEN(O9:O65536)=9))
