Hi,
I have the following data:

20
-20
5
-4

I want to count the number of instances in the above range where the value is either less than -15 or greater than +15. (so the result should be 2.

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
=COUNTIF(A:A,"<15") Less

=COUNTIF(A:A,">=15") More

Thanks - didn't think of the easiest thing!

=COUNTIF(I12:I15,">15")+COUNTIF(I12:I15,"<-15")

=SUM(COUNTIF(A1:A10,{">15","<-15"}))

HTH

.. or possibly this?
=SUMPRODUCT(--(ABS(A1:A10)>15))
