Hi everyone,

I am trying to use CountIFS to count the total number of times a name appears between two dates (for example each month) in a database. I have attached a scaled down and simplified version below.

My current formula is:=CountIFS($A$2:$A$12,”>”&E$8,$A$2:$A$12,”<“&E$9,$B$2:$B$12,TEXT($D2,1))

Many thanks!

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
