Hi

Im trying to create a formula to return a result based on multiple criteria.

I have 2 columns of data with either yes or no in each column.

In my third column I want to return either a yes or no based on what these 2 colums have in them

if column A has YES and column B has YES then column C should be YES
if column A has NO and column B has YES then column C should be YES
if column A has YES and column B has NO column C should have YES
if column A has NO and column B has NO then column C should have NO

Im trying to achieve this with countifs but can't figure out the exact formula needed to make this work.

Many thanks in advance.

J

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Oh sorry, I read YES and NO as TRUE and FALSE. My bad. It should be:
=OR(A1="YES",B1="YES")
