Counting Colours in Excel 2003

Is this possible, I have conditional formating that turns a cell Red or Green, I wish to count just the colours is this possible?

The easiest way is to count the cells that meet the criteria that trigger the CF.

Shame, the cells point to a greater number of varibles and fields and colour dictates the out come.

VOG, ive taken your advice, colour counting would be the easy option, ive now counted the result in the cell but thanks for the additional info ill take a peek at it now.
