Hi guys this is my first post. I am working on a spreadsheet where I need to get the total number of dates within a range of cells that correspond to the current month and year. I have tried several permutations of COUNTIF and SUMPRODUCT but cannot get it to work. The month has to perpetually change too, so I cannot simply put April it needs to be something like MONTH(TODAY())

e.g.

1/04/11
21/04/11
02/05/11
3/04/12

=2

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Max

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Try

=SUMPRODUCT(--(MONTH(A1:A4)=MONTH(TODAY())),--(YEAR(A1:A4)=YEAR(TODAY())))

Hi

Or -
Code:
=SUMPRODUCT(--(ISNUMBER(MATCH($A$1:$A$4,ROW(INDIRECT(EOMONTH(TODAY(),-1)+1&":"&EOMONTH(TODAY(),0))),0))))
