Hello everyone,

I try to create a drag and drop list. The user should just be able to drag one of the shapes (named like processes) and drop it on 5 specific places.
Like that he should create a priority list.
Is it possible to restrict the places, where a shape can be dropped?

Thanks in advance,

the Intern

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Sorry, of cause!
I want the user to choose out of 10 options his top five solutions. Shapes containing the answers as text are next to the list.
Now the user should grab the first solution and put in into the first "gap"(meaning the first place, where it is possible to place the shape).
Then he should grab the second solution and put it into the second "gap".
It mustn't be possible to put the shapes (with the answers) anywhere else than in those "gaps"
Hope that is easier to understand.

OK. Get what you're doing but in Excel it would be a little fiddly to get it to look right. You're using the wrong technology for drag and drop type interface for a start (you want a slick looking front end like flash, silverlight or whatever apple can offer).

Within Excel (being a data orientated program and not really designed for graphics and motion) you'll be better off using a simple set of drop down menu's instead.

Not really what you want to hear I know. For drag and drop awesome "Apple like" front end stuff Excel isn't the best solution - you'll need to look into another type of software to meet your needs. Alternatively work another way such as using check boxes, drop down menu's, etc instead.

Anyway, thanks for your help, now I know it is not possible and have to find another solution.
