I am trying to figure out how to apply a suppression on duplicate rows, eliminating both duplicates. In other words, I want both sets of records to disappear, so that I can avoid sending someone the same records from the Excel database, that I may have pulled the same records from last week.

using the remove duplicates icon still leaves the unique records. I want those removed as well!

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
You can Asap Utilities to do this. It's a free add in to Excel available to download from http://www.asap-utilities.com Once installed select your range that contains duplicates, then in Asap Utilities - Select - No.6 Conditional row or column Select, hide or delete, in the pop up box No. 4 select Duplicate values and check the box below that says Delete all duplicates. Select row, Delete and click OK

I downloaded the program, highlighted the cell, then used my control key to highlight the rows, clicked ASAP, then clicked #1, worked like a charm. I have spent over 10 hours on trying to learn how to do this in excel. Everyone kept saying, use the "remove duplicates" icon, but that doesn't solve the problem.
your solution did! If you are ever my way, I'll buy your dinner! thx, I really appreciate it!

I need you again! ASAP does not seem to have a function for this. I have a list of zip/postal codes that I need to match to another spreadsheet with corresponding information along with other information in other columns as well. I want to select the corresponding zip codes with the full row of other info as well. how do I do this?
