I need to create a program handout for an event and I want to do it in Excel.

I'm looking for some help to figure out how to set it up. Maybe even step by step instructions if someone is willing :)

It needs to be landscape, will be folded in half and will open up like a book.

Inside, I will need to fill in left content and right content (again, like a book, birthday card, etc..). Both sides will be laid out the same with a centered header at the top and the content below.

The content under the header will simply be as follows (on both the left and right sides):

Chorister................................................(Name)

Pianist...................................................(Name)

etc...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Hi and Welcome to the Board
Generally, booklet creation isn't done from Excel as each sheet is basically an individual "document"
and Excel doesn't have any features that will help you achive this.
However, have a look here for a link to a shareware download that may be of use.

Thanks for the reply and link.

When I say "Book" I really just mean I want data in a landscape orientation and want data on the left side and right side of the page. It'll be just one single sheet of paper, and will be folded in half like a book as a program handout.

Ok, sorry, I obviously read too much into your question.
Have a look at Page View. I'm on 2003 at work ....and quite honestly can't remember which tab it is in, on the ribbon
It will define the pages by showing a "watermark" for each page and the limits of that page.
Simply keep you data within those page limits and print as landscape, ensuring that you are printing "both pages on the one sheet.

Thanks again!

Hmm, I don't see any other options that would help. I found "Page Layout", set the margins to "Narrow" and changed the orientation to "Landscape". It put a vertical dotted line going down after "M". Which is strange because it leaves a large margin on the right-hand side of the page.

Do you know how to set it up like you mentioned? So that each side is separate and the text won't go out of it's allotted area?

I'm afraid Excel doesn't work that way.
If you extend the typing past the column Excel won't "correct" it. It's up to the user to get it right.
I'm afraid if you really want to use booklet type layouts, and the content is mainly text ( which it sounds like it is), I'd seriously consider using Word over EXce.
Excel simply isn't designed that way.
