Creating a pull down list

I am having a problem with allowing a cell to use free hand writing as well as the choices. I create a list by highlight the specific cell. Going to Validation. Selecting List. Selecting Source.

How can I select the source and allow for someone to write in a different answer? Is this possible?

Try unchecking the Show Error Alert.
