Hello all,
I Looked through the forums and found some information but nothing that ties everything together. I sell toilet paper for a living. Might as well throw that out there now.
I am creating a Calculator for my job that will reference data from a different worksheet. The calculator itself will have drop down menus that allows you to pick the first variable i.e Amerinet tier 2(GPO). Then the next variable will be type of product i.e. Toilet Paper. Based on those 2 the next drop down will change based on what was chosen. This drop down will list the specific product that the purchaser currently buys and is available for that GPO. The next drop down will also have changed based on first 2 selections and will be what product do we (employee's) want to switch them too. The last input is not a drop down but requires a numerical input of the number of cases bought. Based on all these there is outputs which show current price, new product price, current cases, cases with new product ect. The Data worksheets lists across> GPO, Type of product, Product, price, rolls per box, sheets per roll, total sheets, price per sheet, after that it contains input of cases bought, then output of total sheets used and total cost, input of sheets in new product case, then output of total cases needed, input of price of new product, output total cost of old output, total cost new input and savings, The outputs after total cost is what i want to show on the actual calculator. The data worksheet works now as a calculator but i want to make it more concise because its around 500 cells long. Now when i tried to make a dropdown it wont let me pick one from each section of gpo's. All products are essentially the same but price and GPO change. I did do work on this so dont act like im going to make you guys do all of it but i just want some advice on how i should either A. Make my Data sheet better for the calculator, B. Pick one gpo from each section(The A column for gpo has the gpo listed next to each cell so if i used this for dropdown it would List 500 gpo's with only 10 different names). C. Get the data to the calculator in a different way. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. ILL BE BACK ON TOMMOROW DURING WORK. get paid for being on forums WOOHOO
p.s. If i put this in the wrong section or posted the wrong way don't be bogous about it just tell me so i know and i can switch if need be
