I need to create my SKU coeds in Excel.
is there a quick way using IF function or VLOOKUP to create an 8 digit SKU code?

e.g if A1 = Wedding ring then 1st digit = 0, if A2 = Engagement ring then 1st digit = 1, If B1 = White Gold then 2nd digit = 0, if B2 = Yellow Gold then 2nd digit = 1, if C1 = 2mm then 3rd digit = 0, if C1 = 3mm then 3rd digit = 1 etc etc etc

Thanks,N

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.

Sure, just create a table with your list items, then their values next to them. You can VLOOKUP & concatenate them from there.

If you PM me your e-mail address I'll send you an example.
