I have been told to use Ctrl+Shift+: to keep the time caculation from changing with the PC time....How do I do this?

not sure I get your question

After you type in those things and press enter it puts in the current time stamp. It's not a formula so it won't change. Can you elaborate on what your issue is?

Guilty. It was me. Why did you not continue in that thread?

I gave you a formula to get time, but you did not want it to change, so I suggested instead of entering the formula, you select a cell and press Ctrl + Shift + :

That way you will have current time entered in that cell and it will not change later on.
