Custom menu items

I'm trying to customize my menu for functions I frequently use and have a question.

When I go to customize ---> commands I cannot locate items such as paste special formulas or edit links.

I have written a macro for paste special formulas and attached it to a custom button but there must be a better way.

For edit links, why can I not just copy the menu item to a toolbar?(instead of moving it off of the Edit menu?)

Help please.

Thanks.
