Data Entry Problem

Is it possible in Excel when entering data into a fieldcalled employees works number that when this is entered data is fetched from a list with the name and details aperataining to the employees number.

I know its easy in Access but i wondered if it is possible in Excel.

Consider using VLOOKUP or the INDEX/MATCH combination.
