I am using "DATA" > "AUTOFILTER" on a spreadsheet with 16700 rows. When I drop down the row header, I do not see all the data in the specified search. Is there a limit to how many rows Excel will recognize? Using Excel 2000. Will Excel 2007 be any different?

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
i think it is limited to 1000 in Excel 2003, and i think it is same with excel 2000

but in excel 2007 it is up to 10000

In the earlier versions of Excel the limit of items visible in the drop-down list is 1,000. You can still filter for the other values but need to use 'Custom' and enter the value manually. From Excel 2007 on, the limit has been increased to 10,000.
