Data in another sheet

I have the following formula but need to get the data from another sheet.

=LEFT(A1,FIND(",",A1)-1)

I have tried the other sheet function (data!a1) but am not able to place the reference correctly. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the board...

That would be right, data!A1
But you have to do it on BOTH references to A1
Also, if your sheetname has spaces, you need apostrophe's around it..

'Data Page'!A1


Try
=LEFT(data!A1,FIND(",",data!A1)-1)

=LEFT(data!A1,FIND(",",data!A1))
