Data Lists Error

I have an Excel 2003 workbook with a simple chart to report some numbers. The data comes from a Data List that is linked to an iShare site.
If I update the list, the values update from the tables in the iShare site, and the chart shows the right values, simple.
This has worked fine for over a month.
Today however, when you open the workbook you get the error message "File error: some of you data may have been lost".
When I check the data list, it has been repalced with values (i.e. it is no longer a list).
This happens now, every time I open the workbook.
If I recreate the list, it works whilst I have the workbook open. As soon as I save, close and reopen, the same error message and the list has now been replaced with values.
As far as I can tell (and anybody will admit), nothing has changed in the iShare site and a work colleague now has exactly the same error message where he didn't before.
Can anybody give me any clues as to what is going on here and more importantly how to get my lists working nornally?
Thanks for any help.
