Data Validation and copy - paste

Hello everyone. Is there a way to stop values that do not meet the validation list criteria on a copy paste action? Currently I am getting an error tick in the upper left hand corner of the cell but I am trying to get it so that the copy paste is not allowed to happen if the value doesn't match the settings.

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
