If I am not looking at the screen when I amd scanning I never know the Data Validation Stop Error has displayed.

I am wanting to get an Audible Alert when the Data Validation Stop Error displays.

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
For me in Excel 2003 there is an audible alert. But I don't know if that would be the case for a scanned value.

Thanks for you reply Andrew,

I am using Office 2007 and I can get the visual alert for Data Validation but not the Audible.

Even if the invalid data is entered by keyboard no audible alert only a visual. The sound works for everything else. I was thinking maybe i had missed something.

Thanks Andrew,

None of our PCs seem to work. I'll have to do some digging to see what I can find.

Thanks for your quick replies.
