Hello,

My excel sheet that had some cells with drop-down list of data (done by using the data validation tool) all of a sudden just stopped showing the list when I click on the cell. I have tried several times now to re-insert the data validation list, but nothing is still showing (ie, the drop-down arrow sign on the right-hand side of a cell that's meant to show so you can click on it and a drop-down list will appear for you to chose the text you want, is not showing). Not sure what's wrong!!!

Any suggestions/advice please?

Thanks

PS. Using excel 2007.

Have you used Freeze Panes? If so, are the validation lists in the frozen section?
I've had issues with drop-down validation in those circumstances.

Hi Dennis. Yes, I have used freeze panes, but the validation lists is not in the freeze pane, and the sheet was fine (displaying the validation data) before even with the freeze pane. Anyway, just to be sure, I unfroze the panes and tried again, but still the same problem.

Thanks

If you have had any processing to delete shapes on the sheet you may have lost your drop-down arrows in your cells. You may have to recreate the sheet.
