Quick question - i have a survey in excel and there are a group of questions for each area.

E.G.
1. How long have you worked in your current job
Possible Answers: > 1 Year
>1 year & <2 years

etc

The user is to select Yes for, say >1 year - however, currently the user would have to select Yes for one option and No for the other 6. How can I work it that if Yes is selected in a range of answers that the other answer automatically default to No (say range is D4:D9)

I have tried using INDIRECT and a Range name but no joy yet

Thanks

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Have you tried using radio buttons? They only allow 1 choice per group to be selected. Another option is, rather than having them choose Yes or No for 6 options, make your dropdown list be your options so the question is:

How long have you worked in your current job?

and the validation list is the 6 choices, rather than a "Yes" or "No" for each one.
