I need to put data validation on cells which contain formulae.

I want the user to be able to change the formulae as required, but only to the format of the formula. It is for staffing rosters so that the employee times change depending upon the time in a given cell.

THe formula may be D3+time(0,30,0) to add half an hour to the given cell time.

I want people to be able to change the time added or subtracted from the given cell, but no other formula added in.

ANy ideas?

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
make a time cell, and a cell with a reference to a cell, ie.:

___A______B
1_D3_____0:30:0

then put in another cell:

=INDIRECT(A1)+B1

and the user will be able to alter the cell where the date is in and the time added.
